How to keep your Calligraphy Supplies Organized?
You may now be wondering how am I going to be able to organize all of my supplies.
Well here are my tips…
Tip #1
Well here is something that I would recommend. In my preference, I still like keeping my brush pens in the packages that they came in so that I am able to find the color that I need whenever I want to.
Tip #2
Recommend storing them in nice little cups so that you could easily just take one and start doing your lettering illustrations.
Tip #3
You should buy little pen containers for your desk witch could help to keep all of your pen stationery very well organized. Getting these little plastic containers your able to sort by color and easily be able to get to them.
Tip #4
Get a nice pencil pouch with little spaces to organize your markers. This could really help you to be able to take your brush pens literally everywhere and still stay organized. Plus you can easily grab your brush pens on the go.
Tip # 5
You should get a big cupboard to just be able to store all of your pens neatly and in their different containers.
Now let me go into more in-depth on what you should for storing your brush pens.
In-depth
When storing brush pens you can either get some awesome organizer or do a DIY. When starting out brush lettering I recommend that you start off being minimalistic.
As a beginner, you don’t want to start overwhelming yourself by buying so many different types of brush pens and calligraphy supplies.
So starting off as a minimalist is a great way to start.
Now that you are diving more into the brush lettering you might have now started gaining more and more supplies.
Here is just a step by step process that I would use to start organizing all of your different calligraphy and hand lettering supplies.
Step 1:
Take all of your supplies out and sort everything by the type of material it is.
For example, you would sort all of your water-based brush pens together and your alcohol-based brush pens into another space.
The reason why you are going to do this is because different drawing utensils are stored differently.
Step 2:
Now come up with the idea of how everything is going to come together. So are you going to store your brush pens in a different section than your ballpoint pens?
Are you going to buy any other containers?
Step 3:
Just start forming the idea of how everything is coming together.
Now do it.
The time is now, start organizing. I would recommend before starting this whole entire process is to grab all fo the containers that you are going to use.
Also go through all of your pens and see if they work or not so that you are not cluttering your space with pens that don’t have ink in them.
Nice containers to store Brush Pens
First I would like to talk about some awesome pencil pouches to be able to store all of your brush pens. These will help you to just take all of them on the go and to stay organized at the same time.
These are the pencil pouches that I am going to be talking about today.
Let us first talk about the Concise Below Pen Cases.
These pen cases come in limited. This is also the smallest pencil case on the list. If you are just thinking of storing a few brush pens in here this is right for you.
The durability in this pen case will last you longer and it may be quite small but it keeps itself in shape.
Next…
Lihit Lab Pencil Case comes in a variety of colors in three different sizes. With this one your able to fit more of your pens than the case before.
This is also known as a book pencil case.
Move on to…
Btsky Pencil case only comes in a small variety of colors and in a large size. This pencil case has the second biggest capacity compared to all of my other pencil cases that I am going to be reviewing today.
You also have to note that this case is a little bit bulkier and is also a book pencil case.
Now we have …
Qianshan pencil case that is the biggest one that I am going to be reviewing for today. I think this is more if you are traveling and you would like to take all of your brush pen supplies with you.
It comes in a variety of colors and designs and again this pen case is quite big and bulky.
Last one…
Lorej Multilayer Colored Pencil Case and is smaller than the two above. It is again a bookcase but is smaller and will fit less of your pens, but still very durable.
Nice containers for Brush Pens
Containers that I am going to be reviewing today are:
- STYLO Office Desk Organizer
- Mesh Drawer Office Organizer
- STORI Clear Plastic Organizers
- Wooden Desk Drawer
Let’s start off with
STYLO Office Desk Organizer comes in black and white and is one of the small ones on this list.
This one I really love since your able to show all of your different pens but at the same time your still keeping them organized.
But In my opinion for some people, this isn’t enough pen storage.
The next organizer is…
Mesh Drawer Office Organizer again is quite small but is a great way of separating your supplies inside a drawer.
But this time you can’t exactly separate all your pens into colors.
Any way Next…
STORI Clear Plastic organizers come in different sizes which is great for storing all of your brush pens. The thing is you can find a lot of things similar to this at a cheaper price.
( I would just recommend something similar to this at a dollar store if you are on a budget.)
Next is the Wooden Desk Organizer. With this particular organizer its quite cheap for the storage space. This is great to just store all of your calligraphy supplies in a neat place.
I just want to talk about one last thing. This is by far the best organizer for any stationary (specifically to people with a lot of calligraphy supplies) and is quite portable to move everywhere you go.
AGTEK Cart is just a great place with a lot of storage capability. You could also use a lot of the things that I have talked about above with this storage cart.
Conclusion
These are just some awesome storage tips and ways to just keep you brush pens organized and aesthetically pleasing.
